Re: [-empyre-] Size matters?
There's a fair amount on lists - Jon Marshall <jmarshal@ol.com.au>
wrote his Phd thesis on Cybermind - it's around 600 pp of analysis - and
Lexie (Alexanne) Don has written a system-functional analysis of elist
behavior. A few years ago there were also a number of articles in books
such as Internet Culture, Cultures of Internet, etc. I've written in my
endless ramblings on list governance and its relation to specific
software, etc. There has been a fair amount on list censorship, disrup-
tion, etc. as well. Years ago, Alt.tactical.strategy, which acted on news
groups, effected a group called the Deviants which broke into lists; there
was writing about that as well. I also think you'd find a lot of
sociological writing on lists - I remember reading it. - Alan
